Of the 7 million rentals on the platform worldwide, 2 million have earned the Airbnb Guest Favorites badge.

What are the criteria for becoming Guest Favorites ?

To earn the new badge introduced by Airbnb for the launch of Guest Favorites, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:

Have at least five traveler reviews
Excellent traveler reviews and ratings averaging over 4.9 stars
Receive high ratings from travelers for :
- Arrival
- Cleanliness
- Accuracy
- Communication with host
- Location
- Value for money

In addition, you will need an excellent reliability record, with an average of 1% host cancellations and quality issues reported to user support

The Guest Favorites are updated every day, giving every short-term rental owner or manager the chance to improve their offering and optimize points along the traveler’s journey to deliver an exceptional experience.

Also note that if you own several rentals that you promote on Airbnb, each will be evaluated independently of the other. This means that one property can be awarded Guest Favorites status, while the other is not.
