A few days ago, the booking portal Booking.com published the winners of the Traveler Review Awards 2024. It is the 12th time that the portal has awarded Booking.com partners for outstanding hospitality.

Vacation rentals remain on the rise

Like in 2023, vacation rentals are once again the most popular accommodation type in 2024 with 710,687 awarded properties. This represents an increase of 10 percent compared to last year. In second place are vacation houses with 213,824, followed by hotels with 179,357.

So there is every reason to advertise your vacation rental on Booking.com.

Guest reviews are crucial

The Traveler Review Awards prove once again stress the importance of guest reviews. Positive reviews help potential guests to choose a rental for their next trip and indicate whether a host has gone the extra mile. They are a mark of quality for your vacation rental and should not be neglected.

Based on more than 309 million certified reviews from guests and customers, Booking.com has evaluated 1.48 million partners in 221 countries and regions worldwide. In addition to 1,484,294 properties, car rental companies and cab services were also recognized.

With 181,012 award-winning accommodations, Italy is clearly in first place, with the UK in fifth place with 86,910 and the US in eighth with 56,014.

How to qualify for the Traveller Review Award

Would you like your vacation rental to be recognized with a Traveller Review Award next year to increase your visibility and chances of bookings? These are the requirements for the award:

For the Traveller Review Award 2024, the average of verified guest reviews between December 01, 2020 and November 30, 2023 was determined. Anyone who has received at least 3 reviews via the app or website and achieved an average guest review score of at least 8 qualifies.
